Biography

Jon Kaiden is a principal and founding member of Sopris Capital, a private equity firm focusing on middle market investments in the healthcare and IT services industries. Before forming Sopris Capital in early 2002, Mr. Kaiden spent a number of years as an investment banker (Merrill Lynch, Cowen, Josephthal) focusing on corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions for healthcare and technology companies. Prior to receiving his MBA, he practiced corporate and securities law at the New York law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan.

Education

Jon graduated from Cornell in 1988 with a degree in government. He received his MBA., with honors, phi beta kappa, from Columbia Business School in 1996, and a J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 1991.
