Background

Mr. Jonathan Jia Zhu serves as the Managing Director of Bain Capital Private Equity. Mr. Zhu joined the Bain Capital in 2006. Mr. Zhu served as an Investment Banker of Morgan Stanley which he joined in 1995 and the Chief Executive Officer of its China business sector. He has an extensive experience in investing and capital markets transactions. From 1996 to 2006, Mr. Zhu served as the Managing Director of Morgan Stanley Asia Limited. Mr. Zhu handled the $9.2 billion listing of China Construction Bank as well as the IPO for China Unicom. He was involved in a broad range of cross border mergers and acquisitions and international financing transactions for Chinese companies. Mr. Zhu served at Shearman Sterling in New York. He served as an Executive of Shearman & Sterling LLP. He has been the Chairman of Clear Media Ltd. since August 23, 2011. Mr. Zhu serves as Non-executive Chairman of ASIMCO Technologies Limited. He has been Non Executive Director of Sunac China Holdings Ltd. since September 30, 2009. Mr. Zhu has been a Director of China Fire & Security Group, Inc., since November 9, 2011 and Youku Inc. since 2007. He has been a Non-Executive Director of SinoMedia Holding Ltd. since November 2006, Greatview Aseptic Packaging Company Limited since July 29, 2010 and GOME Electrical Appliances Holdings Limited since August 3, 2009. Mr. Zhu serves as a Director of Greatview, Shandong Tralin Packaging, Inner Mongolia and Beijing Greatview.

Mr. Zhu has a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1992, an M.A. from Nanjing University in 1984, and a B.A. from Zhengzhou University in China in 1982.
