will celebrate with entrepreneuers from around the world during Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 16-22.

The event is sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, an organization founded in the mid-1960s by Ewing Marion Kauffman to support entrepreneurship and “Make Your Mark,” the United Kingdom’s national campaign to give people the confidence, skills and ambition to be enterprising. The week will connect people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others will participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face, and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings.

Entrepreneurship Faculty Meeting

Monday, November 16: A meeting of campus-wide entrepreneurship faculty and staff will kick off Global Entrepreneurship Week. Networking will begin at 11:30 am in the Taylor Room at Statler Hotel, with lunch at noon and presentations by students using the eLab facilities at 12:45 pm. Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise Speaker Series

Monday, November 16, 7:30-8:30PM: Entrepreneur and Cornell Professor Donald Greenberg '55, BCV '58, PhD '68 will speak in AEM 1210, a lecture series that is free and open to the public. This event will be held in Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall.

Virtual Entrepreneur's Resource Expo

Tuesday, November 17: Features information and videos from resources and organizations on and off campus. The expo will be available beginning Nov. 17 and will be available throughout the week. Visit http://www.youtube.com/user/GEWatCornell.

  • Tuesday, November 17, 4:15-5:30PM: The Conversations with Entrepreneurs Speaker Series is hosting a discussion by and networking session with Steve Rushmore, Founder, HVS, a global consulting and services organization focused on the hotel, restaurant, timeshare, gaming, and leisure industries. This event will be held in room 198 Statler Hall.

Tuesday, November 17, 7:00PM: The eLab Entrepreneurship Seminar Series presents speaker Professor Dan Cohen, who will speak about customer service. The seminar will be in room B09 Sage Hall.
