DESCRIPTION:Join us to explore two groundbreaking tools developed by the NSF Energy Storage Engine in Upstate New York – Engine GUARDIAN and the Supply Chain Risk Assessment AI Agent -designed to strengthen and accelerate the regional energy storage ecosystem. \nWith funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF)\, Cornell and a group of institutional partners have created the NSF Energy Storage Engine in Upstate New York to advance energy storage technology and boost large capacity battery manufacturing in upstate New York. \nEngine GUARDIAN helps energy storage companies identify and mitigate supply chain and national security risks\, while the Supply Chain Risk Assessment AI Agent provides intelligent\, real-time insights and resources from a powerful database to support energy storage companies\, researchers\, students\, and others with decision-making and resilience. \nThis session will demonstrate how these tools work\, outline who can benefit\, and share how researchers\, startups\, and manufacturers can leverage them to enhance their operations and competitiveness. \nResearchers\, entrepreneurs\, and industry partners are encouraged to attend to learn how these innovations can support their energy storage and/or battery technology and expand opportunities in the energy storage sector. Explore technology commercialization through Introduction to Entrepreneurship for Ph.D.s and Postdocs\, a program that empowers researchers to bring innovations to market and overcome the challenges of leading a technology-based business. \nThis program combines a proven entrepreneurship curriculum with a focus on leadership development and empowerment. Content will be delivered at two full-day\, on-campus weekend workshops in Spring 2026: \nWorkshop 1 in January will focus on fostering entrepreneurial skills and community-building with the cohort \nWorkshop 2 in February will focus on fundraising\, operations\, and next steps \nParticipants will finish the program equipped to take the next steps in their entrepreneurship journeys.
