As a domain expert with the Highland Consumer Fund, Todd will apply his extensive marketing and operational background and proven senior-level executive experience to help early stage retail and consumer services portfolio companies plan and execute their marketing programs.
As part of the original management team of Staples, Todd was instrumental in opening the world's first office superstore and in helping to grow Staples to $7 billion in annual revenue by 1998. As executive vice president of sales and marketing, Todd also started and ran Staples? catalog business. In addition, Todd serves on the boards of Carbonite.com, OnForce and C&S Wholesale Grocers. Todd has won a gold â€œClioâ€ award for best retail advertising in the US. He served on the Harvard Business School faculty as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the 2006/2007 academic year and is a member of Cornell University's Alumni Council and the Harvard Business School Entrepreneurship Center Advisory Board.
