Biography

Jan Rock Zubrow joined Radius Ventures as a venture partner is 2002. Radius Ventures invests in early stage companies in the life sciences. Radius currently manages three funds with total committed capital of approximately $ 200 million. Prior to joining Radius, Jan Rock Zubrow was the Founder and President of MedCapital, LLC, an early stage venture capital firm. Before starting MedCapital, Ms Zubrow was Vice President, Women's Health at Johnson & Johnson. She was responsible for expanding J&J's two billion dollar franchise in women's health products, which resulted in the $290 million acquisition of Biopsys Medical, the $79 million acquisition of Gynecare, Inc., and the creation of a new J&J venture, Women's First Healthcare. Prior to that, Ms. Rock was Vice President, Marketing at J&J Personal Products and was responsible for revitalizing J&J's $500 million feminine care franchise in the U.S.

Education

Ms. Rock received a BA in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Board Affiliations

Ms. Rock currently serves on the board of directors of U-Systems, Inc., a Radius portfolio company. She also served as a director or observer to several venture stage companies, including Amicas, Inc., BEI Medical, Inc., Immunicon, Inc., Protocare, Inc, and Purilens, Inc.
