Background

Mr. Ziad Joumblat has been a Partner at Quilvest Private Equity since March 2012. Mr. Joumblat has 20 years of international business experience and has held senior positions in private equity, consulting and general management. He started his career back in 1992 by founding and directing CONSULT for Hotels & Restaurants where he was responsible for the structuring and managing of investment funds under which he developed international restaurant chains across the region. He also advised hotel chains and assisted on the strategic repositioning, financial/operational restructuring and exit strategies of large food operators in France and the United Kingdom. Mr. Joumblat joined PrimeCorp Finance Paris in 2002 and became its managing director in 2008. During that time, he advised on a number of corporate finance transactions in the Energy, Hospitality, Agribusiness and ICT sectors while heading the Private Equity department, structuring and co-managing Food & Agribusiness and Real Estate PE Funds in partnership with Rabobank and the CDC respectively. Pursuant to the acquisition by Gazprombank of a majority stake in PrimeCorp in 2009, he also became the Chief Executive Officer of Gazprombank-Invest’s Paris subsidiary, thus extending his exposure and experience to the oil and energy sector. He sits on the Board of YO! Sushi.
