Background

Tim focuses on a broad array of industries and investment types, and his breadth of experience provides NEP with expertise to structure, finance, and manage successful transactions. As Managing General Partner of the firm, Tim focuses on day-to-day operations of the fund, management of the investment professionals, marketing strategies for the firm, and NEP's relationship with Wells Fargo, the firm's primary limited investment partner. Tim was instrumental in forming NEP's affiliated mezzanine fund, Norwest Mezzanine Partners, in 2000, and he continues to oversee activities of this fund. Prior to joining NEP in 1998, Tim worked at the Churchill Companies, where for 11 years he led Churchill's real estate, financial services, and industrial acquisition efforts. In addition to sitting on the board of the Churchill Companies and the boards of all its operating companies, Tim was an active investment committee member for all of Churchill, Churchill Financial Services, and Churchill Capital. Tim has owned and managed a commercial bank and a wood products company and has also actively invested in real estate, acquiring and divesting several million square feet of commercial property.
