The College of Architecture, Art, and Planning is made up of three disciplines that share a mission to positively impact the world's cities and communities with applied creativity. Our studios, classrooms, and labs are where creative practice and research expand with innovation and new ideas. At AAP, we offer entrepreneurship opportunities that converge with imagination to push the boundaries of emerging technologies and leading industries with design.

Collaboration is key to our integrated modes of teaching design and making across disciplines within and beyond the college. For example, in 2019, AAP launched a pilot collaboration with Cornell Tech led by associate professor of architecture Jenny Sabin with faculty from disciplines across the university. As students forge relationships with thought leaders and faculty advance cutting-edge research, they not only learn business practices, but immerse themselves in design and discovery to envision businesses and practices of their own. Empowered by collaborative creative design practice, AAP students go on to build the world around us — often from the ground up.
