The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business is poised to play a catalyzing role in establishing new ventures that commercialize Cornell discoveries. Comprised of three world-class schools—the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, and the School of Hotel Administration—more than 10% of our college’s alumni have founded companies. Those alumni, as well as our current faculty and students, bring expertise in technology strategy, new-venture organizational design, and other key business acumen that are critical to the success of startups. In addition to our ongoing support of and partnership with Entrepreneurship at Cornell, our college offers countless avenues to entrepreneurship—including an entrepreneurship minor that is available to almost all Cornell undergraduates, the Cane Entrepreneurial Scholars Program, and a summer startup accelerator that is open to all Cornell rising juniors through PhD students. Our college is also home to the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship. In brief, the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business teaches people how to create and lead businesses.
